- There are 2 isolating valves under the home just to the left of the steps.
- They are marked Red and Blue for Hot and Cold
- They are identical to the type of valve you get on washing
machine connections, see image A below.
- There is a third one to the left which is closed and
should not be touched.
- Turn the valves through 900 to close them.
- Next turn off the taps in the kitchen and the bathroom sink
and also turn off the shower mixer tap, by turning the left hand
fully anticlockwise.
- The right hand mixer tap should be turned anti clockwise as well
until the red button clicks, this is to ensure that the shower
does not run freezing cold when turned on.
- When all taps have been turned off, open the main water valve
(again found under the home), this Is the valve shown as B below.
- The water will flow for a few seconds as the toilet cistern fills up.
- Check that water comes out of each tap (Kitchen and Bathroom)
when turned on.
- The central heating system is a closed loop system and has anti freeze
in it so does not need to be disturbed when draining down or refilling.
- Turning on the hot mixer in either the kitchen or bathroom will kick
on the combi boiler and you will get hot water in a few seconds.
- That completes the refill procedure.
